Soulroots got attention in the African House scene with the release of his album back in 2021 followed up by the hit ‘Sala Papa Ye’ in collaboration with Soul Star in 2022. As the founder of Liberation he created the label Liberation Music to push the sound even more. Nuzu Deep started singing at the age of 8 and hasn’t looked back. Over the years she worked on numerous tracks and with a lot of work behind the scenes she can’t wait to share what she has been working on.

Back in 2021 Soulroots sent a demo to Nuzu Deep and asked if she wanted to collaborate. Nuzu on this cut, ‘’I was in my ‘Grateful ERA’ when I did this song. After doubting if I have a purpose in this world my whole life, people from across the world were reaching out to me because of ‘my talent, my gift’ and I felt seen and recognized which was a big deal. The beat played a huge role to write the lyrics, it triggered the whole feeling and made it so easy to execute. In my language Sipho means ‘The Gift’. Nuzu Deep gave her audience a sneak peek of Sipho and it has skyrocketed since then. 

‘Sipho’ awakens so many feelings because of the breathtaking vocals and the meaningful message of the lyrics in combination with the instruments and emotional chords. Everybody has a gift hence this track can resonate with everybody in special situations. Finally the launch and the first release of LIBERATION MUSIC can start with this gift.
